Women executives are taking the top job at several well-known organizations. Former McCann New York CEO Amber Guild starts as president and CEO of Susan G. Komen on Oct. 1, and Brie Reiter Smith is now CEO of the berry brand Driscoll’s.
The moves appear in a roundup of women executives on the move from The Most Powerful Women Daily. That is Fortune’s daily briefing for and about the women leading the business world. The list spans nonprofits, consumer brands, finance and artificial intelligence.
New Women CEOs at Nonprofits and Consumer Brands
Girls Who Code has a new CEO in Susan Gouijnstook, who takes over from Tarika Barrett. L’Oréal alum Gayle Tait will become CEO of Cocolab, which makes Cocofloss.

Wisp appointed Keira Krausz as CEO as the company expands from reproductive health into other areas of women’s health. At Her Campus, Stephanie Kaplan Lewis stepped down as CEO after 17 years.
Legal and Finance Chiefs at Growing Companies
Several companies filled senior legal and finance roles with women. Sedgwick appointed Courtney Welton as global chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary. Nubank named Sarah Wilson, previously general counsel at Circle, as its new chief legal officer.
Former Waymo CFO Elisa de Martel is now CFO of Wayve, which is building AI for autonomous vehicles. Egon Zehnder named Ayşe Güçlü Onur global leader of the firm’s human resources practice.

Marketing and Technology Leaders in the AI Race
AI companies also recruited women for top marketing and clinical roles. Sheila Vashee, who just finished three years as CMO of Figma, is joining AI inference company Baseten as its new CMO.
The AI contracts platform Spellbook named Meltem Kuran-Berkowitz CMO. She came on full-time after doing the role on a fractional basis. Bunkerhill Health, which is building AI agents for hospitals, named Azita Hamedani chief clinical officer.
Liz Carrasco is now CTO of OverDrive. In consumer brands, Mona Scott-Young was named CMO of Black Irish, the spirits brand founded by Mariah Carey.
Board Seats and a Leadership Change at the WNBA
Women also gained board seats. Kirsten Green of Forerunner, who specializes in consumer investing, is now on the board of Gap Inc. Moloco added Rachel Glaser, the former CFO of Etsy, to its board.
Airbnb promoted Fallon O’Connor, its vice president of communications, to head of communications and people. Tatiana Shalalvand is now a partner at Cherry Ventures.
One major departure stands out. Cathy Engelbert is stepping down as commissioner of the WNBA, and attention now turns to who the league will choose next.
