Atari, the renowned video game company, has recently announced the launch date for Dreams Uncorporated’s Lunar Lander Beyond. The game is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 23. Lunar Lander Beyond is a modern reimagining of the original Lunar Lander arcade game, complete with new features and details designed to appeal to contemporary audiences.
Expanding on the Arcade Style
According to Atari, Lunar Lander Beyond is more than just a remake of the classic arcade game. It expands on the arcade style with a new storyline and lore. The game features four difficulty tiers, including a high-stakes permadeath mode. It also introduces procedurally generated characters and customizable ships, adding a new layer of depth and replayability to the game.
Players will have the opportunity to explore five different areas of space in Lunar Lander Beyond. These include Nueva Luna, Mars, Venus, Ganymede, and the mysterious “realm of Etimus.”
Atari’s Revival of Classic Games
Atari has been actively reviving several classic games recently, including Berzerk. The company also recently acquired classic game studio Digital Eclipse. Lunar Lander Beyond is currently available to wishlist and pre-order on various platforms.
